ABOUT ME
I am Yasemin and  I recently completed an MSc in Creative Computing at the University of the Arts London.

I’m a computational arts practitioner. I like to explore our complicated relationship with technology, take inspiration from history, ancient artefacts and cultures. I primarily use creative coding, digital fabrication, game engines, and microcontrollers in my projects.

I have also previously worked in exhibition planning as an Assistant Creative Director. More information can be found on our exhibition website

3D Animation in Blender

3 Time

The ancients derived meaning from celestial bodies such as the change in the length of shadow during daytime or the days certain constellations become visible for the first time whereas our system of time is more artificial and mostly centralized on our phones. The time we wake up is more related to when we set our alarm rather than the position of the Sun. Furthermore, notifications we receive on our phones dictate and distract our daily lives. I wanted to combine the different approaches towards time in 3D animation: ancient calendars and celestial bodies are combined with a sound visualization of notification data.
